Veterinary medicine is an incredibly rewarding career that offers a wide range of options for those looking to pursue it. From traditional clinical practice to veterinary training teaching and research, there is something for everyone. Veterinary careers can be divided into two main categories: full-time degrees and the Army Medical Service (AMS). Full-time degrees in veterinary medicine require you to commit your life to the field. This means dedicating anywhere from 5-6 years at university earning your doctorate degree in veterinary medicine. During this time you will learn about anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology as well as taking courses in animal nutrition and behaviour. You’ll also be required to complete clinical studies with animals in order to become a fully qualified vet . While completing this veterinary training degree you will have access to hands-on experience with a variety of species in both classroom settings and practical sessions outside the classro
